Pre-roasted, they form the “skeleton” of this delicious dessert and are the basis for later applying the filling that will cover the layers. The truth is, this pie won’t disappoint and you may start to like it more than you initially thought.

  • 2 cups unsalted margarine (360 g).
  • 6 eggs.
  • 1/2 cup of milk (125 ml).
  • 1 spoonful of pisco (15 ml).
  • 2 rectangular puff pastry sheets (300 g).
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence (15 ml).
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar (90 g).
  • 3 tablespoons of refined or powdered sugar (45 g).
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch (45 g).


  1. First you need to do is the filling of icing cream. For this you will need to mix cornstarch with some milk. You will keep it booked.
  2. Soon after, you will beat the eggs with margarine and sugar. You will notice that a frothy mixture will form. When you get this texture, reserve this mixture as well.
  3. Also, as for the remaining milk, you must mix it with pisco , vanilla essence and heat until it reaches the boiling point.
  4. Once it comes to a boil, turn off the heat and add the egg, margarine and sugar mixture.
  5. Afterwards, put all the mixture back in a pan over low heat, and finally add the cornstarch and milk.
  6. Keep stirring until reaching the ideal thickness of the cream. This must be lump free and completely homogeneous.
  7. Pay attention to the consistency of the mixture. It’s important that you keep stirring it while it cools. Otherwise, it may not work properly.
  8. Finally, once the cream is made, refrigerate and set aside for later use with the puff pastry layers.

  2. Use an oven-proof mold covered with parchment paper, then place the cut layers of puff pastry.
