  • 3 ¼ cups of liquid soy milk  (650 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of butter (25 g)
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt (1 g)
  • 1 cup of brown sugar (200 g)


  1. The first thing you should do is put the water in a pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. When the water is close to boiling point,  you should add the soy milk together with the butter, a pinch of salt and brown sugar. Mix carefully.
  3. You must pay special attention when mixing. The foam rises with the heat and can overflow, so stir with calm, circular, and gentle movements.
  4. It is advisable to  lower the flame a little and stir everything calmly.  It will take a little longer, but the result will be more homogeneous and professional.
  5. The exact cooking time for making condensed soy milk will be between 7 to 10 minutes. Remember: there can be no lumps and this will be achieved by mixing slowly and calmly.
  6. To finish,  allow the mixture to cool down without lumps and homogeneously.
  7. Finally, when it’s cold, take it to the fridge and let it sit for 4 hours before using it in your desserts.
