To prepare this recipe, you will need some ingredients and a blender. Believe it or not, in just 10 minutes you will have the homemade crema punch ready. Obviously, we recommend putting it in the fridge, because ice cream is even more delicious!

Ingredients

  • 5 egg yolks
  • ΒΌ cup of white or golden rum (amount of alcohol to taste)
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence

Step by step preparation

  1. Separate the yolks from the whites. To do this, you can break the egg against the edge of a bowl and let it drain. Another option is to use the two pieces of shell. To do this, move the yolk from one shell to the other, allowing the white to drain. Reserve the 5 gems.
  2. Place egg yolks in a blender and blend for three minutes. This way you will add air to the egg.
  3. Add vanilla essence, condensed milk and rum.
  4. Beat for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the homemade crema punch in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
  6. Serve in a glass with ice.

This classic version of the Venezuelan drink is made with confectioner’s cream, that is, it includes sugar. If you like full-bodied punches, this is the best option!

Ingredients for confectioner’s cream

  • 250 ml of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 yolks
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla essence

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 cup of white or golden rum

Preparation of confectioner’s cream

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Once beaten, place in a pan and cook over medium heat. It is important that you stir it with a wooden spoon to prevent it from sticking.
  3. When it starts to boil, cook for a minute and remove from heat.
  4. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate for at least two hours.

  2. Add the icing cream and beat again.

  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 2 eggs and 2 yolks
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 liter of white or golden rum
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla essence
  • lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Separate the yolks from the whites. For the preparation you will need 4 yolks and 2 whites.
  2. Leave the egg whites in a snow point.
  3. Then add the yolks in a blender and blend. Add the egg whites and beat again.
  4. Add the milk, condensed milk and vanilla essence and beat again.
  5. Add lemon zest and nutmeg.
  6. Finally, incorporate the rum. We recommend adding it little by little and trying to prepare the punch to your liking.
  7. Refrigerate and serve over ice.

General recommendations

  • The amount of alcohol will depend on your taste. We advise you to gradually add the rum and try the result until you get what you expect.
  • Rum can be white or golden; both are delicious in any of the recipes.
