The active component in pepper that gives it its slightly smoldering (or very stingy, depending on the variety you choose) taste is called capsaicin. The more hot the pepper, the higher its concentration of capsaicin.

Capsaicin is present in some drugs commonly sold in pharmacies, as it is able to inhibit the action of a neurotransmitter called Substance P, which is responsible for sending pain signals to our brain.

If we manage to block Substance P, our brain is never “warned” that something is hurting, and consequently we don’t feel the pain.

  • 1 cup of olive oil (230 g)

After three weeks, the peppers will be at their best time to make the cream.

How to prepare

  • Place the peppers in a glass jar, making sure they are not taking up more than 3/4 of it.
  • Then add the olive oil. You can adjust the amount, remembering that it should be enough to completely cover the peppers.

  • The application of the cream must be done through gentle massages that allow the area affected by pain to relax. You don’t need to use a lot of force when spreading the product on the skin.
  • Just take a small amount of oil with your hands and apply it to the affected area several times a day, whenever you can.
